We are in Casper WY and I spent the day yesterday at the campground trying to rest up.  My body has finally rebelled and refused to let me ignore it any further :)
Ron spent the day on the North Platte River with a guide all day fishing; what a great day! I'll let Ron take over the story from here....
I met a fisherman in Buffalo,Wy who has been living in Casper for the past 10 years. He give me some fishing tips (must go places), one to fish the N. Platte. I really needed a guide to fish this river because I am not familiar with these waters and the water level was high enough to require a boat, so I went and hired one. Well it was one of my best, if not the best, BIG fish days ever. And these fish are the meanest fish I have ever caught, bar none. They fought like hell.  I felt like I was steelheading on the salmon river or catching 32" stripers on the cape. These fish were 18-20 inches and they gave me a run for my money just as well as the larger stripers! My right hand was incredibly sore at the end of the day, something that has never happened before. My guide was a great guy and an excellent guide. So I really jump-started  my fishing out here with this trip.... (look for pictures to come on e-mail later)
Hi It's me again.  we are deciding what our plans are for the day and they are dependent  on me.  I've been struggling with bad allergies out here and may try to get to see the local allergist in town before we move on....
